My Miniature Xmas Statement of Intent.
Due to severe weather constraints I propose to take six images of Xmas decorations from our household. I will be experimenting with using closeup and long exposure techniques.
Due to severe weather constraints I propose to take six images of Xmas decorations from our household. I will be experimenting with using closeup and long exposure techniques.
I will be using Sigma 105mm f2.8 DG Macro lens and a Sigma 24-105mm f4. DG Art lens, a Little Stopper filter and remote cable release. I will also be using the Bulb and mirror lockup function to try and eliminate and camera shake.
The only light sources used will be natural light, small torch of shadow effect and the light given off by the Xmas tree lights.
I will be using Canon’s ddp4 and ON1’s editing suites for cropping and any minor adjustments.
My intended audience are my course co-learners, course tutors and myself.

I have chosen the following Xmas related images to try and show the un-noticed miniature details in the objects.
The images will be presented on Behance in a project grid flowing from the the 1st card, the process of decoration, religion, celebration and the giving of gifts.The grid will be followed by each individual image to show metadata information.
This project has no direct bearing on my final submission but hopefully makes me look at objects in a different way particularly with respect to close-up imagery.
Presentation.
I have tried to present the images in a variety of formats suitable for each image. I hope this variation adds interest for the viewer of the images. I have cropped the images using standard formats. The images could be hung individually but grouped together in the set order.
They are laid out in the order that the Xmas period takes place. You have the recieving and senting of cards. The act of decoration. The angel represents the religous aspect and the xmas bow the festivities of Xmas. The present represents the act of giving and recieving gifts on Xmas day.
I think these images would lend themselves to a photobook (as demostrated in the grid), grouping and enlargement.
